Archaeological evidence suggests that ancient cultures of Peru surfed on reed watercraft for fishing and recreation up to 5000 years ago. Standing up on what is now called a surfboard is a relatively recent innovation developed by the Polynesians. The influences for modern surfing can be directly traced to the surfers of pre-contact Hawaii."

SURF WAX IT'S HERE SINCE 1935
Surf wax was first applied to a surfboard by Alfred Gallant Jr., a surfer from Los Angeles, in 1935, after observing the effect of liquid wax on the floors of his home. The Douglas sea scale is a scale that measures the height of the waves and also measures the swell of the sea. The scale is very simple to follow and is expressed in one of 10 degrees.
